Database and Application developer, full SDLC

(MS Access, SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2016, SSIS, Visio)

In charge of:

  • Application is an extension to the Clinical Incident Management System, for providing functionality that is needed by PSSU unit but is not provided in the source system (DATIX). Architecture is Disconnected Integration. It also features Data Vault since PSSU wanted to keep history of changes.

  • Current extension system is set of 3 linked spreadsheets

  • ETL – analysed, cleansed spreadsheets and developed extension database; mapped data fields

  • Developed discovery/working prototype in MS Access which, coupled with extensive source data analysis, helped clarify existing and define additional business rules to better serve PSSU incident tracking needs; tested and accepted by client.

  • Developed Functional and Technical specifications

  • Developed SQL Server back end and reused (with required changes) MS Access prototype as a front end

  • Proposed security framework for the application

  • Set up and maintained SQL server development environment on local machine, including SSIS and SSRS and advised on set up of the Database on Test and Production Server.

  • Created T-SQL deployment scripts
